I am proud and pleased to be a volunteer with St John Ambulance in my spare time (when I have any!!) and every year the Annual Awards Presentation Evening takes place at The Hewett School in Norwich to acknowledge the enormous amount of time, devotion and energy that the members put in. The Lord Lieutenant was invited to present the awards and it is always astonishing how many people work tirelessly for the organisation. I have photographed the awards for the last few years but this year had to come the other side of the camera for a few minutes as I received my 1st Bar which represents 17 years of service to St John Ambulance (for those of you who know me, I’m not one for being in front of the camera!)).
