Once again I am pleased to announce another Gold Award in the SWPP Monthly Competition. This image means a lot to me for several reasons. It is my first set of twin babies I have photographed, they also belong to my neice and her husband, they are absolutely gorgeous and I’ve been awarded a Gold for them. There were 870 images entered into April’s competition. 46 photographs were awarded a Gold award and 98 images achieved a Highly Commended, which means it came in the top 5% or so. Each month’s Golds are taken forward to the annual Photographer of the Year award held with a gala dinner in London. So fingers crossed I might even get a finalist category win as well.
